1. They’re depressed. This is without question the most common reason people commit suicide. Severe depression is always accompanied by a pervasive sense of suffering as well as the belief that escape from it is hopeless. The pain of existence often becomes too much for severely depressed people to bear.
2. They’re psychotic. Malevolent inner voices often command self-destruction for unintelligible reasons. Psychosis is much harder to mask than depression — and arguably even more tragic. 3. They’re impulsive. Often related to drugs and alcohol, some people become maudlin and impulsively attempt to end their own lives. Once sobered and calmed, these people usually feel emphatically ashamed. The remorse is usually genuine, and whether or not they’ll ever attempt suicide again is unpredictable.
4. They’re crying out for help, and don’t know how else to get it. These people don’t usually want to die but do want to alert those around them that something is seriously wrong. They often don’t believe they will die, frequently choosing methods they don’t think can kill them in order to strike out at someone who’s hurt them—but are sometimes tragically misinformed.
5. They have a philosophical desire to die. The decision to commit suicide for some is based on a reasoned decision often motivated by the presence of a painful terminal illness from which little to no hope of reprieve exists. These people aren't depressed, psychotic, maudlin, or crying out for help.
6. They've made a mistake. This is a recent, tragic phenomenon in which typically young people flirt with oxygen deprivation for the high it brings and simply go too far.
"People Who Committed Suicide"
Ahn Jae-hwan (1972–2008) was a South Korean actor. Ahn was found dead in his car on September 2008. It is considered to be a case of suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning.
Ariel Castro (1960–2013) kidnapped three women and held them prisoner in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio. Castro plead guilty to 937 criminal counts of rape, kidnapping, and aggravated murder as part of a plea bargain. He was sentenced to life in prison without the chance of parole plus 1,000 years. One month into his sentence, Castro committed suicide by hanging himself with bed sheets in his prison cell.
Kurt Donald Cobain (1967–1994) was an American musician and artist, who was best known as the lead singer, guitarist, and primary songwriter of the grunge band Nirvana. During the last years of his life, Cobain struggled with heroin addiction, illness and depression. He also had difficulty coping with his fame and public image, and the professional and lifelong personal pressures surrounding himself and his wife, musician Courtney Love. On April 8, 1994, Cobain was found dead at his home in Seattle, the victim of what was officially ruled a suicide by a self-inflicted shotgun wound to the head.
Adolf Hitler (1889–1945) was an Austrian-born German politician and the leader of the Nazi Party (German: Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (NSDAP); National Socialist German Workers Party). He waschancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945 and dictator of Nazi Germany (as Führer und Reichskanzler) from 1934 to 1945. Hitler was at the centre of Nazi Germany, World War II in Europe, and the Holocaust. In the final days of the war, during the Battle of Berlin in 1945, Hitler married his long-time lover, Eva Braun. On 30 April 1945, less than two days later, the two committed suicide to avoid capture by the Red Army, and their corpses were burned. Under Hitler's leadership and racially motivated ideology, the regime was responsible for the genocide of at least 5.5 million Jews, and millions of other victims whom he and his followers deemed racially inferior.
Amanda Michelle Todd (1996–2012) committed suicide at the age of 15 at her home in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada. Prior to her death, Todd had posted a video on YouTube in which she used a series of flash cards to tell her experience of being blackmailed into exposing her breasts via webcam; bullied; and physically assaulted. The video went viral after her death,resulting in international media attention.
Lee Alexander McQueen, CBE (1969–2010) was a British fashion designer and couturier. McQueen's death was announced on the afternoon of 11 February 2010. In the morning, his housekeeper found him hanging at his home on Green Street, London W1. Paramedics were called and they pronounced him dead at the scene. McQueen died nine days after the death of his mother, Joyce, 75, from cancer. David LaChapelle, a friend of the designer, said that McQueen "was doing a lot of drugs and was very unhappy" at the time of his death.
And on the 11th of August, 2014, the whole world was shocked by the death of Robin Williams.
Robin McLaurin Williams (July 21, 1951 – August 11, 2014) was an American actor, comedian, film producer, and screenwriter. In mid-2014, Williams had admitted himself into the Hazelden Foundation Addiction Treatment Center in Lindstrom, Minnesota, for continued sobriety treatment related to his alcoholism. According to his publicist, Williams suffered from depression. At around 11:45 a.m. (PDT) on August 11, 2014, Williams was discovered by his personal assistant at his home near Tiburon, California. Emergency 911 dispatchers received a call reporting Williams was unresponsive and not breathing about ten minutes later. He was pronounced dead shortly after emergency personnel arrived, at 12:02 p.m. (PDT). The Marin County Sheriff's department reported there were cuts along Williams's left wrist, and that a pocket knife was found close to his body. The Sheriff's department confirmed on August 12, 2014, that Williams was found with a belt around his neck and that preliminary results of forensic examination supported his death to be a result of asphyxia by hanging.
Goodbye Mr. Williams. I will forever remember this wonderful words from you: "The worst thing in life is not to end up all alone.The worst thing in life is to end up with people who make you feel alone. " Rest in peace.
Truly life is unpredictable. All people will die. We just don't know how and when. May all the dead rest in peace / paradise.
