Navin Mansion Pattaya

August 11 and 12 is Thailand's official holiday in honor of the Queen's birthday on August 12. So from Saturday to Tuesday there's no work. Long weekend "Yeheeey"! So to celebrate the long weekend, I decided to go to Pattaya City. This city is popular with tourists and expatriates.  Navin Mansion 2 is an affordable hotel in Pattaya. This is where I stayed for 4 nights for only 600 Baht (no free breakfast) but hey 600 Baht is cheap already for a hotel that is located in one of Thailand's popular city because of it's nice beaches, pubs, clubs and etc.
"The Room"
This is the bed. Two people or 3 if you guys are skinny can fit in here. This is a comfortable soft bed.

Inside the room there's a television with cable, a mirror and a table where you can put all your beauty secrets (hey girls, feeling girl ;). Next to it is a closet with few hangers. Inside the closet is a safe box where you can put all your treasures (wow rich) hahaha. There's this big fridge where you can stock your food. Grocery store is just 2 minutes away. There's free two bottles of water everyday. A cabinet for an extra space for your shoes or whatever you wanted to put in there. There's also two orange towels in case you wanted to take a bath. I know you want to, of course or else you will smell like a skunk, kidding :D.

On the left side of the room is where the aircon is. It works very well. They also have this sliding door, when you open it there's a little balcony, a sink and a rack where you can hang your clothes in case you want to stay a little longer you can hand wash your clothes in the bathroom and hang it in there ( I did it). There's also this table with two chairs whenever you feel like eating inside your room or just whatever you wanted to do in that table (it's up to you :). That little thing above the table is an ashtray.

"The bathroom."
This is the bathroom. It's a spacious bathroom. Big mirror and a sink. Hot and cold shower works well. The toilet works well too. No free shampoo just two tiny bath soaps.

All in all, I had a good stay. Though there's no free breakfast but just like I said grocery store (Big C extra) is just two minutes away. I think they are open at 8am to 12 am now. Before they were like open at 10am to 10pm. Not sure, so just check it out yourself. They have a very affordable meals on their food court ( affordable like 30 to 50 baht meal). On the left side of Big C like 10 minutes away is another grocery store with a restaurant called Foodland, the food is very good and affordable too. Pattaya is known for it's beach resort and touristic place. You can go on the seaside, just take the bath bus (songtew) opposite side of Big C for 10 bath you'll be on the sea side in 10 t0 15 minutes or less than that. You can also walk. Just walk straight where the baht bus is heading, don't stop until you see the sea.  That's a good exercise. Near the sea side you'll find this big mall called Central Mall, another mall called Mike Shopping Mall and Royal Garden Plaza plus a lot of shops and bars and a lot more to see along the way. Okay, that's all thank you. Bye! :)

Why Do People Kill Themselves?

1. They’re depressed. This is without question the most common reason people commit suicide. Severe depression is always accompanied by a pervasive sense of suffering as well as the belief that escape from it is hopeless. The pain of existence often becomes too much for severely depressed people to bear.

2. They’re psychotic. Malevolent inner voices often command self-destruction for unintelligible reasons. Psychosis is much harder to mask than depression — and arguably even more tragic.

3. They’re impulsive. Often related to drugs and alcohol, some people become maudlin and impulsively attempt to end their own lives. Once sobered and calmed, these people usually feel emphatically ashamed. The remorse is usually genuine, and whether or not they’ll ever attempt suicide again is unpredictable.

4. They’re crying out for help, and don’t know how else to get it. These people don’t usually want to die but do want to alert those around them that something is seriously wrong. They often don’t believe they will die, frequently choosing methods they don’t think can kill them in order to strike out at someone who’s hurt them—but are sometimes tragically misinformed.

5. They have a philosophical desire to die. The decision to commit suicide for some is based on a reasoned decision often motivated by the presence of a painful terminal illness from which little to no hope of reprieve exists. These people aren't depressed, psychotic, maudlin, or crying out for help.

6. They've made a mistake. This is a recent, tragic phenomenon in which typically young people flirt with oxygen deprivation for the high it brings and simply go too far.

"People Who Committed Suicide"

Ahn Jae-hwan (1972–2008) was a South Korean actor. Ahn was found dead in his car on September 2008. It is considered to be a case of suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning.

Ariel Castro (1960–2013) kidnapped three women and held them prisoner in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio. Castro plead guilty to 937 criminal counts of rape, kidnapping, and aggravated murder as part of a plea bargain. He was sentenced to life in prison without the chance of parole plus 1,000 years. One month into his sentence, Castro committed suicide by hanging himself with bed sheets in his prison cell.

Kurt Donald Cobain (1967–1994) was an American musician and artist, who was best known as the lead singer, guitarist, and primary songwriter of the grunge band Nirvana. During the last years of his life, Cobain struggled with heroin addiction, illness and depression. He also had difficulty coping with his fame and public image, and the professional and lifelong personal pressures surrounding himself and his wife, musician Courtney Love. On April 8, 1994, Cobain was found dead at his home in Seattle, the victim of what was officially ruled a suicide by a self-inflicted shotgun wound to the head.

Adolf Hitler (1889–1945) was an Austrian-born German politician and the leader of the Nazi Party (GermanNationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (NSDAP); National Socialist German Workers Party). He waschancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945 and dictator of Nazi Germany (as Führer und Reichskanzler) from 1934 to 1945. Hitler was at the centre of Nazi Germany, World War II in Europe, and the Holocaust In the final days of the war, during the Battle of Berlin in 1945, Hitler married his long-time lover, Eva Braun. On 30 April 1945, less than two days later, the two committed suicide to avoid capture by the Red Army, and their corpses were burned. Under Hitler's leadership and racially motivated ideology, the regime was responsible for the genocide of at least 5.5 million Jews, and millions of other victims whom he and his followers deemed racially inferior.

Amanda Michelle Todd (1996–2012) committed suicide at the age of 15 at her home in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada. Prior to her death, Todd had posted a video on YouTube in which she used a series of flash cards to tell her experience of being blackmailed into exposing her breasts via webcam; bullied; and physically assaulted. The video went viral after her death, resulting in international media attention.

Lee Alexander McQueenCBE (1969–2010) was a British fashion designer and couturierMcQueen's death was announced on the afternoon of 11 February 2010. In the morning, his housekeeper found him hanging at his home on Green Street, London W1. Paramedics were called and they pronounced him dead at the scene. McQueen died nine days after the death of his mother, Joyce, 75, from cancer. David LaChapelle, a friend of the designer, said that McQueen "was doing a lot of drugs and was very unhappy" at the time of his death.

And on the 11th of August, 2014, the whole world was shocked by the death of Robin Williams.

Robin McLaurin Williams (July 21, 1951 – August 11, 2014) was an American actor, comedian, film producer, and screenwriter. In mid-2014, Williams had admitted himself into the Hazelden Foundation Addiction Treatment Center in Lindstrom, Minnesota, for continued sobriety treatment related to his alcoholism. According to his publicist, Williams suffered from depression. At around 11:45 a.m. (PDT) on August 11, 2014, Williams was discovered by his personal assistant at his home near Tiburon, California. Emergency 911 dispatchers received a call reporting Williams was unresponsive and not breathing about ten minutes later. He was pronounced dead shortly after emergency personnel arrived, at 12:02 p.m. (PDT). The Marin County Sheriff's department reported there were cuts along Williams's left wrist, and that a pocket knife was found close to his body. The Sheriff's department confirmed on August 12, 2014, that Williams was found with a belt around his neck and that preliminary results of forensic examination supported his death to be a result of asphyxia by hanging.

Goodbye Mr. Williams. I will forever remember this wonderful words from you: "The worst thing in life is not to end up all alone. The worst thing in life is to end up with people who make you feel alone. " Rest in peace.

Truly life is unpredictable. All people will die. We just don't know how and when. May all the dead rest in peace / paradise.

Khaosan Road D & D Inn

After a one trip to Vientiane, Laos, this where my feet took me. D&D Inn in Khaosan Road. Khaosaon Road is a very well known street in Bangkok. This is where mostly back packers from all over the world stays. It is located near the tourist spots like the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew.

Let's take a look at the D&D Inn's room.

This was my bed with two clean towels. A single bed for 1,080 baht (one night) with free breakfast ( brewed coffee (there's milk and sugar if you like), sausages, ham, pineapple and orange juice, sunny side up eggs, pasta, a bread (there's a toaster if you prefer toasted bread), fruits (pineapple and water melon. By the way, breakfast is at Dang Derm Hotel just opposite of D&D Inn.
"The Bathroom"

This is the bathroom, size was okay. Shower is separated with a shower curtain. Hot and cold shower works good, with a shampoo and shower gel (I can't tell which one is which though) it's in that white thing hanging on the bathroom wall. There's a sink and a faucet with mirror. It's a clean bathroom so it's good.

More about the room :)

This was the tv in my room with cable so I was able to watch news (English). It's also a good size to me, so I was a happy customer.

On the left side of the bed is a table with mirror, with a hair dryer, a menu in case you're hungry (just call), an ashtray for someone who's smoking (which is bad for you, so maybe you should quite, just saying). A full list of the bedroom things and its price including the door in case you broke something you already know how much you will pay. A suggestion paper, in case you wanted to suggest/suggests something.

On the right side of the bed is where the telephone is, the tv's remote control, the open closet with seven hangers. Near the bedroom door is where the aircon buttons (no remote for aircon, and IDK how to make it cooler, so I was like feeling a little warm.

Okay, let's go to the last floor, the seventh floor :)

The seventh floor is where the pool is with 41 chairs to choose from. You can lay here all you want and feel the Bangkok sun, get a tan. I'm not sure how many feet the pool is but it is probably like 4 feet. You know why? Because I am like 4 feet 8 inches and when I went swimming the water level is only like on my neck, ha! They also have a mini bar, so you can sip a drink or two while enjoying the pool, the sun and the ladies wearing bikinis (joke). And oh above the roof of the minibar is a place where you can chill and take a look at the rest of Bangkok.

On the same floor of the pool is a little garden. They also have this little wooden shade over looking the Khaosan Road.

This is the Khaosan Road. Took this when I was in that wooden shade. Yeah, it is a busy street but believe me it is so much busier at night. At night this street is full of vendors selling clothes, food and etc. This street also is surrounded by bars full of people from all walks of life, from all over the world, so I guess this is a good place to meet some new friends and maybe travel together, probably fall in love? Oh well! There's also one seven eleven, one KFC, across the street there's a Burger King and many other inn or small hotel on this street to choose from.

So I guess this is a good place to stay for someone who's a party goer. Who's in for a drink or two or three or four or until you pass out, hahaha. For someone who likes to dance, or for someone who just like to sing along with the band. Over all, my stay wasn't bad I guess, the only problem is I didn't go here for a party and a drink, I went here to get some place to sleep for the night 'cause it's too late for me to go back to Rayong. I wasn't able to sleep until 4 a.m. because I was staying in the 6th floor and on the 7th floor, the mini bar was playing a loud music until 12 a.m., I can hear it from my room. Then insomnia strikes, so I was awake the whole night until 4 a.m. But I had a good day in the morning, had my breakfast at 8 a.m. and swim for an hour, do a little shopping, pack my bags and leave. By they way check out time is at 12 noon. Aside from paying the room, they also ask for 500 Baht deposit for the key, in case you lost it, you also lost your 500 Baht. So don't be clumsy, or don't get too drunk, haha. You can get the money back when you give back the key when you check out. And one more thing, they are doing some repairs so you will see some people doing construction work, but it doesn't bothers me 'cause it means they wanted to put some more improvements for a better service. Okay, so I think paying 1,080 at D&D Inn for one night is worth it.

I hope somehow this post is useful. Thanks for reading. Mwaaah :* bye.
